FoxP2 takes its name from the creativity gene that has mutated in human beings over the last 50 000 years. It's the gene most singularly responsible for the advancement of mankind. The gene that allows us to innovate. To adapt. To be creative.
Charl Thom - Group Managing Director
My proudest moment
is a number of years old, it's called The FoxP2 Group. Building our agencies
with my partners and our team, is a proud moment that I am prouder of almost
Justin Gomes - Executive Creative Director
As I sat waiting in the Cannes Ceremony, just before the winners' announcement around 10.30pm, I received this SMS from Saf and Heidi who were nominated for their first Cannes Lion: "Your entire creative department is on the FoxP2 balcony. Win or lose, we're a great agency. :-)"
Footnote: they won.
Andrew Whitehouse - ECD - Design and Special Ops.
Proudest moment - 9AM, 5 August 2005.
Katherine Tripp - Production Manager
I am Katherine Tripp & my proudest moment in advertising was working on the Drive Dry "Let's Date" Campaign. Being a part of a project that permeated the South African culture and made a difference, makes what I do worthwhile.
Laurel Mader - Special Projects
The day my Dad finally
approved of one of the TV ads we did for a Scotch whisky he was particularly
fond of. He considered himself an astute viewer with a vested interest.

moment was when I discovered the power of advertising. I was on my way to
school and saw a vendor selling newspapers. The front page had a picture of a
man crossing a flooded river in the DRC. His head was just above the water, and
on top of his head was a bag sporting 3 stripes. A logo that become an icon.
Ryan Barkhuizen - Art Director
Ryan is an Art
Director and part of the furniture in the foxhole. He still talks about the
“Old country”, where foxes would gather around one table for an 18 hour work
day. His campaigns for Frank.net and Drive Dry have struck a deep chord with all South
Africans, finding their way into popular culture. The catch-phrase "Pappa
Wag Vir Jou" is still nervously repeated in shebeens and clubs
around the country, much to Ryan's delight.
Aviwe Apleni - Video Editor
I arrive at FoxP2 every morning, sit down and turn my computer on. It makes that sound (bwwwouw!), and I think to myself "Wow, I'm lucky to be here." That's my proudest moment.
Mark van Rooyen - Account Director
My proudest moment in
advertising was getting a client’s legal team to approve us kidnapping Jack
Parow, and bringing him to OppiKoppi 2013. Legend.

advertising moment... Hearing a Signal Hill car-guard wildly explaining a
commercial I'd just finished up to his mate. Clue: The ad involved a UFO in
Soweto and an Afrikaans swearword.
Bobbi Kotze - Operations Manager
My proudest moment in advertising was the day I realised that I work for an agency that truly values and cares about the people that make it what it is. I think that’s something to be pretty proud of.

Joining the most ambitious little agency in the land, that's my proudest moment in this game.

STUART GORMLEY - BUSINESS UNIT DIRECTOR
My proudest moments are those which come in between all the craziness, when you realise the great talent you’re surrounded by while making great ideas come to life.
KAYLIN MENDES - BUSINESS UNIT DIRECTOR
Cannot be described as one point in time, but rather a collection of those moments where the air is thin and you find it slightly hard to breathe as your heart races faster. Every time I feel this, I stop and say “Thank You GOD for my blessings!”
RICHARD BRODRICK - BUSINESS UNIT DIRECTOR
After many years dreaming about it, it was the day I got the call to join the Fox family…
